Benefits of a sky lantern_kitchen extension Romford_EBCS
If you've been in an office or home with a sky lantern, you’ll have a clear idea of know how much it can enhance the space. It floods the room with natural light and can even make dreary days seem a little brighter.  If you've been considering installing a sky lantern in your home or office and aren't quite sure if it is the right decision, here are some reasons why sky lanterns are a good idea.
Light
The first and most obvious benefit of a sky lantern is the natural light it brings. It gives the impression that you are less confined and more connected to the outdoors. You can gaze up at rain on a sky lantern as it washes across it, or watch as snowflakes gently land on it. You can even experience rays of moonlight perhaps as you lay in bed and drift off to sleep or first rays of morning light. It's those kinds of moments that make a sky lantern such a welcome addition to any home.

A sky lantern can provide light in areas that are traditionally difficult to light. There is no need to install track lights to light a painting with a sky lantern. It lets your artwork be highlighted by soft natural light. It can also be a useful tool in a bathroom where you can't have windows because of the side proximity to a neighbour.

Energy
You may not think of energy savings when you look at a sky lantern, but in fact, it can save you significantly on energy costs. You don't need as many lights in your home or office when you have a sky lantern installed. Not only do you save on the cost of using lighting, but you save on the cost of lightbulbs and lamps.

Still not convinced? During the winter months, a skylight can save on heating your home or office because of the warmth generated by sunlight shining in. Most green construction includes sky lanterns for that very reason.

Sky lanterns was a technique used in Victorian times that has seen a recent resurgence by climate conscience builders and homeowners. During that period there were two choices for lighting: dirty and dangerous gaslights or wide, ample sky lanterns. This trend was also popular in atriums that enclosed gardens that let enough light and warmth in for plants to grow while being shielded from harsh winter temperatures.  If you are looking to save on energy costs and beautify your home or office with natural light, then a skylight is your best choice.

Fresh Air
During this time where we have to be at home more and more, a sky lantern can be a great asset. Some sky lanterns open to allow venting. By venting fresh air flows in refreshing the air inside your whole home. Venting also allows you to remain cool during the summer as it lets out hot air that is trapped on your ceiling.

To Sum Up
As you can see, a sky lantern is a great addition to any home, office or hallway. It can save you energy while letting everyone experience a connection to the outdoors. A sky lantern is a feature that can be included as part of your kitchen extension or extension.
